Ingredients

4 slices of Oroweat® Organic 22 Grains & Seeds

1 398 ml can of black beans
-
1 cup grated cassava
-
1/3 cup chopped cilantro
-
1 clove garlic - minced
-
1/2 cup chopped onion
-
1 cup sunflower seeds
-
3/4 cup oats - ground into flour
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
2 tablespoon tamari
-
2 teaspoon chipotle powder
-
1 teaspoon oregano
-
1 teaspoon cumin
-
salt and pepper
-
3 tablespoon ground flax seed
-
1/3 cup hot water
-
1/4 cup mayonnaise
-
1⁄4 cup ketchup
-
4 slices of vegan provolone cheese
-
4 leaves of lettuce
-
4 tomato slices
Preparation
- Combine ground flax seed with 1/3 cup hot water.
- Roughly mash into black beans with potato masher or fork - leaving some beans whole.
- Combine remaining ingredients.
- Form into four patties.
- Pan fry in olive oil until crispy and cooked through, turning once.
- Grill the Oroweat® Organic 22 Grains & Seeds slices.
- Grill bread.
- Mix mayonnaise and ketchup, set aside.
- Layer Oroweat w/ slice of provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato and black bean burger.
- Add dollop of mayonnaise mixture.
